Park Court, Sale

BACKGROUND

You will probably have noticed the Cassel & Fletcher hoardings around this site on the A56 in Sale. It’s a very prominent site on a principal arterial route from the south into Manchester city centre, but what’s going on behind the scenes?

Inside the safety and security barrier a major design & build conversion is underway, turning an existing office building into a high quality suite of apartments and duplexes, due for completion in early 2021.

WORK

Our activities commenced in January 2020, starting with completing the internal demolition work to allow for reconfiguring the structure for residential use.

The internal engineering is now complete. Cassel & Flecther’s remit also covers the transformation of the building’s façade, which includes window replacement across the structure. To give Cross Street an attractive residential appearance, features such as juliette balconies, dorma windows and a new lighting scheme are being added. New mechanical and electrical wiring and plant are also being installed.

Alongside new water services and groundworks, we are creating new entrances, and providing new hard and soft landscaping.

Partnering with architects MDA Architecture, Cassel & Fletcher is engaged in working on ten to twenty apartments at any one time. Our team’s flexibility and scale means we can quickly accommodate rapid escalations in activity, all guided by expertly managed co-ordination to ensure a timely and efficient build.

THE TRANSFORMATION

On completion Cross Street will comprise thirty six 1 and 2-bedroom apartments, plus a selection of duplex homes on the top storey. The specification throughout is very high, with close attention paid to all the details which will help define the development’s premium quality status.

The goal is to offer discerning purchasers a superb living environment in an ideal location – a fact underlined by the area’s excellent accessibility between Altrincham and the heart of the city.
